First we have the brand new "Varia is the Bomb"- which can be claimed after only the first day. While official testing has yet to occur, apparently it’s an icon-swapped GBomb.
Additionally you can pick up a free 12 million np hidden tower item in the form of the Shield of Faerieland. This full air blocker also may block fire and physical, and given the set price it may be a decent pick up as well.
There are also loads of other unique and interesting non-battledome items to purchase and with only 125 points to do it with, you may wish to check out our guide to help you make up your mind.

That bomb is an easy pickup, but I'm wondering whether to pick up the shield, or use those points for extras of the stamp and bomb...

Hmm... I definitely love the idea of the bomb, but I feel like it's in an unfortunate circumstance where it's not really going to shine much?
It seems like a great replacement to the Ghostkerbomb, between the cheap cost and the ability to equip two at once. (Light icons are meh, but they're the minority anyways) But the question is, does anyone really need this enough to forego something else from the prize shop?
TP lots have been asking for 3.5-6 mill, so there's definitely a lot of fluctuating, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be worth more than other options, especially with a book and stamp coming out along with it. (Although, if people go for those instead, there'd be less stock of the bombs, so that could drive up the price... Eh, I've never been good at understanding long-term price changes)
I guess it's partly that I don't really understand the appeal of non-freezing bombs in the current BD. There's so many multiuse weapons that are only a few icons behind the big ones - if Roxtons Trusty Bowie Knife can do 30 icons in two turns, and I'll still have it to deal more damage, why not stick with that rather than 25 icons on one turn, and then an empty slot for the rest of the battle? There's nothing going on where I'd /really/ need that extra bit of damage in one turn, unless we get a new BD plot where I don't have time to train further. (fingers crossed for a BD plot?)
(Also @lasergu, not sure if I'm misunderstanding your comment, but you can only buy one of the bomb, you'd have to pick up a second off someone else)

Didn't realize the bomb was a limited purchase, I only thought the "top" tier prizes (55 points and above) were limited.

I wish there was a way to regulate prices and have things be worth their actual value. Alas fluctuation is always the name of the game with these things. Im considering picking both of these up

Will this ever be rated? I wonder if it may be a good idea to get more certified raters somehow?

@stonewolf11: We've opened up applications several times in the past and had 0 applicants, so it's likely our list of volunteers will remain the same for awhile.
That said, despite no ratings being posted yet, macosten has been raving about the Varia Bomb and has been recommending it to all the other JN staffers to add to their sets... so if you haven't gotten one yet, you probably should!
