Ratings - Glittery Faerie Dust
Overview: Like playing a game of Round Table Poker without ever looking at your cards, Glittery Faerie Dust is unpredictable for both you and your opponent.

The Good: The Dust practically eliminates the viability of big shields like Faerie Tabard and Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, as there's only a 1/7 chance of the attack being fully blocked. The Glittery Faerie Dust could go well with something like Fan of Swords where any of the big shields can be drawn out, and then squashed.

The Bad: The dust is easy to match or beat. The much cheaper Stone Foam Finger can match it, and any Hidden Tower sword can beat it. Once the novelty of keeping an opponents shields out of play has worn away, any opponent could easily overpower the dust with an average Hidden Tower weapons set.

The Ugly Truth: Glittery Faerie Dust is useful for defeating shields, but not much else. Unless there's a full strategic set to go with it, the neopoints would be better spent on more powerful weaponry.

At a Glance (3/3):
Toss a little bit of glitter at your opponent and watch them scramble as the faerie magic takes its toll! It has a 1/7 chance to deal a whopping 15 icons of any given type.

In-Depth (3/4):
Two words: Shield Breaker. Its sole job is to wreck shields, and it does it extremely well. It is essentially 7 weapons in one, and your opponent has to guess what type it will be to counter it every turn. The only way to truly counter it is to simply deal more damage than it. And then there's the occasion where luck turns on the GFD user... Whichever works.

Price (1/2):
8-9m for this may be pushing it nowadays, as every anagram weapon has dropped a good 1-2m since a couple of years ago. Back then this would be a great price, being weaker and cheaper than Sword of Skardsen, but similarly priced with Kelpbeards Trident, but now that the price difference is gone, it may not be as good of a buy. Still, if you're on a budget and only have 16-19m to spend on constants, this is a worthy buy.

Bonus (1/1):
If I were to average all the elements together, it would be dealing 2.14 icons of each element per turn. While this means it would be extremely likely to be partially blocked, it would also be just as likely to always deal damage. Seems much less impressive overall though, right? Just something to think about.

Also, as of October 2013, this item is super effective against Shoyrus, Scorchios, and Draiks.

Final Score: 8/10

Price/Power (2/5)
15 icons isn't a good attack, lets face it. However what you are buying here is not the attack, it is the unbeatable defense in 2P. In 1P you are better off wielding any one of the other better value items in the hidden tower.

Countermeasures (5/5)
Imagine if you will dual wielding this in combat, 30 icons of unblockable force. While it is hypothetically block-able at least 2/7 of the time with strategic blocking, realistically it is most likely better not to try. No item has the range of defense possible to take this down while still doing damage. For that reason, at least in 2P, I see this having some pretty major applications.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
If you are just battling pick up an anagram sword instead, a {{Sword of Rief}} is pretty hard to take a chunk out of even if they know you have it.

Other Points (1 Deduction)
A very niche weapon which while it still deserves some recognition, shouldn't be used for everyday battling.

Final Thoughts
Much better then some of the other weapons the faeries offer, but I would still stick to an anagram sword.

1P 3/10 This 15-iconer is now weaker than the recently released Skarls Hasty Mace. It will still serve you well if you insist on using it, but it is significantly underpowered relative to cost.

2P 4/10: An old favourite weapon of mine, the magical glittery dust of faeries has lost its value in 2P because of the release of the new anagram swords. Yes it is hard to defend against, but consistently hitting for 3 icons less than the anagram swords is simply underwhelming.
