At a Glance (3/3):
Toss this at your opponent, and watch as this tiny jar full of 2 icons of water damage explodes, instantly freezing your opponent solid! Has a 100% chance to hit.

In-Depth (2/4):
There's really not much to this item. Use it one turn, obliterate your opponent on the next. The best time to use it is when you can finish off your opponent in one turn. There isn't really much of a way to counter it, other than using a 100% freezer of your own. This freezer, unlike H4000 Helmet, comes with a 2 icon hit, technically making this the stronger option.

Price (2/2):
6-6.5m for a freezer isn't bad (in fact, it's a good 1-1.4m cheaper than a few years ago!). If you want to save 500k-1m, however, you can get the aforementioned helm. If you want to pay 500k-1m more for 1 more icon of offense, you can grab Magical Marbles of Mystery instead.

Bonus (0/1):
This would also be good for alleviating those nasty fevers!

Final Score: 7/10

Power: 5/5
A solid 100% freezer providing an additional 2 icon offense compared to H4000 Helmet. Freezing is extremely useful and this is one of the good options to get being usually a little bit cheaper than the Magical Marbles of Mystery.

Counters: 2/3
Just like for most freezers you should watch out for Clawed Shield and Rainbow Swirly Thing which can stop all freezers (except Heavy Blue Tunic under certain circumstances) right in their track. While the water offense isn't really much, it's still better than nothing and more likely to go through than the physical attack of Magical Marbles of Mystery, so that's a good thing.

Uniqueness: 0/1
Nothing really special about this one - just one of the standard options to get as a freezer.

Bonus: 1/1
It seems it's freezing cold in that bottle and ice crystals are pretty.

Price/Power (5/5)
Another 100% freezer which, like most other 100% freezers, has been capped price wise for a long time. The value for money on freezing items is pretty stable to say the least. Add in the two extra water icons and you get that little extra boost of power which is beneficial to some.

Countermeasures (4/5)
You can hold off a freezing for a turn with a Lens Flare and use that to get through your bomb, or get lucky and freeze the same turn. Not perfect, but realistically once frozen there is nothing you can do to stop being crushed for a turn.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
There are multiple alternatives to this including the H4000 Helmet and Magical Marbles of Mystery. You can also look into mult-freezers such as a Sword of Lameness or a Slumberberry Potion. If you want to kick it up a notch, your best option is the Moehog Skull, but don't expect to be able to get that any time soon. Downgrades wise you have the Randomly Firing Freeze Ray if you can not afford this yet.

Other Points (No Bonus)

Final Thoughts
A 100% freezer is something you need in your set so look at all the options before making your choice.

Thanks to the Magical Marbles of Mystery in the Hidden Tower, the price of 100% freezers has remained in check over the years. Freezing Potion sports a lower price than its Hidden Tower companion, a factor in favor of Freezing Potion.

Although it offers one less icon than the Magical Marbles, Water icons are typically slightly harder to fend off than Physical icons. All of the popular Hidden Tower shields (Faerie Tabard, Ghostkershield, Hubrid Nox Memorial Shield, Dr. Sloths Personal Body Armour, and Shield of Faerieland) will block the Physical icons dealt by Magical Marbles of Mystery, but Freezing Potion is only blocked by three of the five above. However, when faced by opposing freezer Heavy Blue Tunic, Magical Marbles of Mystery will get icons through while Freezing Potion will not.

Either way, the 2 or 3 icons is unlikely to be the determining factor of a battle, especially not at the level of play where 100% freezers become more common. The fact that Freezing Potion is several hundred thousand Neopoints cheaper makes it a more practical option.

There is really not much more to say about Freezing Potion. It is a 100% freezer. Anyone with pockets deep enough to afford a 100% freezer should pick one up. Reusable 100% freezers make life in the 1-Player arena easier and are vital in 2-Player freeze fights.

Remember that species freezers like Entangling Lenny Lasso are more cost efficient for those who are willing to morph their pets.

Price/power (5/5): Usually slightly cheaper than the Magical Marbles of Mystery and never more expensive. It's the price that a non-species 100% freezer should be.

Tactical (5/5): It's a 100% freezer that doesn't break. You'll never be forced to replace this. Remember, you're not using it for the attacking icons. You're using it to freeze your opponent solid.

Bonus (0/1): Can't really give this an 11.

Closing remarks: Alternatives include the classic H4000 Helmet and the Magical Marbles of Mystery. If your species has a 100% freezer, get that because it's likely to be much cheaper than any of the 3 all-species ones.
