Price/Power (2/5)
50% block for rather cheap is actually semi decent.. though still nothing worth going out of your way to purchase

Countermeasures (2/5)
It can break, but a 1% chance isn't exactly high enough to worry about. There are so many elite items that use earth that this can be an option

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Maybe it would be best to just save up and get a Ultra Dual Shovel instead, or perhaps at least a Craftsmans Lens if they ever go significantly down in price

Final Thoughts
If this item was worse I would suggest using it to dig it's own grave, lucky for it however it isn't terrible.

At a Glance (1/3):
You and your opponent are taking half the damage your opponent throws at you AT BEST, if and ONLY if your opponent ONLY uses earth. Pretty risky to use for such mediocre reward. And then there's the off chance that it might break.

In-Depth (1/4):
Reflecting earth is a bit tricky. Mass earth (like air) usually comes with other elements attached to it, specifically high-end weapons like Super Attack Pea and Grapes of Wrath. For the Hidden Tower level, however, we only worry about Sword of Thare and Ghostkerbomb.

If you can predict when your opponent will use a weapon or two that uses massive earth, then that's when you use this weapon and another weapon that either attacks or blocks the remaining damage you take, thereby putting you in the lead for that round. But that's where it gets tricky as it is incredibly hard to outdamage or block half of, say, GoW's earth attack AND fire attack. You would need a GoW of your own, and that's assuming that their SECOND weapon also has massive earth, like SuAP. Otherwise, it's a losing battle.

Well, usually it would be if you are against high-end items without one yourself, but at least you're not a total punching bag with Shovel Plus.

Price (2/2):
Even tho this is unusually more expensive than the other 50% reflectors, I am glad to see that it's not as expensive as it was a year ago (it was like ~30k!). Ultra Dual Shovel's price tag is ~17m if I remember correctly, so, like the other 50% reflectors, if you can afford to upgrade, do it.

Bonus (0/1):
This, alongside the other 50% reflectors, can be good for helping beginner b...
