Ratings - Bleached Bone Staff
Rating: | Price/Power (1/5) This item certainly is cheap enough- and not that weak. I do wish it offered just 2-3 more icons of power though. See, in recent years the number of very powerful items has risen fairly dramatically, making this item less interesting. Countermeasures (3/5) The mono icon nature does help it go through a few common shields and the physical/light combo is able to defend you to an acceptable point. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades I'd grab either a Cobrall Utility Blade or Altadorian Swordbreaker instead. Other Points Final Thoughts I think the fear element of this item should not be underestimated, If someone comments on how you could be using a better item, you could turn around, look directly at them and say "Do you think you could help me make a better one?" Rating: | Bleached Bone Staff features 11 total icons; not bad for a Dual Duty sporting a 10,000NP price tag. The mono-icon attack is nice, despite only being 5 icons. Light and Physical are both common items, meaning this weapon possesses an excellent chance of blocking something when used in lower-level battling. This weapon can take pieces out of beginner-level weapons like Ridiculously Heavy Battle Hammer, Scroll of Ultranova, Carved Qasalan Blowgun, but it will have to utilize both its Light and Physical defense simultaneously to be worthwhile. Scuzzys Comb and Staff of Righteous Fury come to mind. This weapon is a reasonable choice of Dual Duty for new battlers working with a small budget, but it is definitely not a weapon worth using every turn. It is best used as a back up for defensive situations. Rated on May 31, 2013 |
