Price/Power (4/5)
If you had told me as a kid that by now there would be a 9-13 icon for sale for only 300NP I think I would have called you crazy. But here we are. What is even more amazing is that it doesn't really fully stand up to what I would expect out of weapons these days.

Countermeasures (1/5)
The icon types it uses are very easy to block with similarly cheap items like the Parasol of Unfortunate Demise. Relying on such an easy to block icon type for its main damage is a big downside for me.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
Firstly, if you have the no-trade Blazing Embers from the plot that would be the way to go. Your direct upgrade path is something like Yooyu Knuckle Duster or if it wasn't entirely too expensive Stone Foam Finger

Final Thoughts
Icon numbers alone I never would have been expecting to be rating something with this many icons for so cheap so low but here we are.

Assuming you got this for free, it's not horrible. average of 11 icons with heavy light isn't too bad, and a small amount of dark defense as well which will typically get used.

It's just unfortunately too underpowered to be in a serious battler's set, but as a limited dual duty for someone on a strict budget, it is not bad given that it is free. It of course is presently untradeable and as such has no investment value, but for newer battlers thats ok.
