Ratings - Tyrannian Sceptre
Rating: | This weapon will only be rated for Regular 1P/2P use, since it doesn't have any niche or league use. Price (2/3): Magic Gridlock Gun, Tyrannian Sceptre, Yooyu Knuckle Duster, and Turned Tooth are the staple for relatively cheap constant attackers and their prices are usually good and affortable for someone that's been saving up for a week or so. You should always choose whichever's cheapest at the moment. If you're just starting and need a strong weapon you should only buy this or the weapons above if they're at an acceptable price range (Around 100-200k). Otherwise it's better to get The Power of Friendship for a stable and cheap 13 iconer instead. Power (5/5): 14 or so icons is the bare minimum nowadays for a GOOD weapon. for 1p icon types don't matter much so as long as you get enough icons you'll be able to do intermediate level battling just fine. 2p is a completely different story but most people don't focus on that, and if you're doing 2p you're usually doing either high level battling where these weapons won't be enough, or one of the respective leagues that have their own restrictions. Uniqueness (1/2): The list of 14 iconers and similar is rather small, so these will always be sought after, at least until icon inflation makes the bare minimum higher. Overall It's a staple by now. Every battler that does 1p at a decent enough level will most likely have this weapon or one of its alternatives. If you wanna buy them, make sure to check the other options and get the cheapest one, since they all do the same basically. Because of that its final rating is 8/10. Rated on May 30, 2019 |
Rating: | Price/Power (5/5) About the same price as the awesome Yooyu Knuckle Duster but better because of its fire based attack. Though on a price/power scale it is pretty much exactly the same right now, worth picking up from the prize shop while you still can. Countermeasures (3/5) Basically this is the same weapon as the Yooyu Knuckle Duster but it adds additional chance to do fire instead of easily blocked physical. This alone adds an extra point in my eyes. Though the reliance on light and physical damage still makes this item not perfect. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades My general go to is the Flask of Liquid Fire- but instead of being a "clear" upgrade it is more of an alternative for 2p. This weapon is much better for 1p, however the random nature of throwing in physical and the more heavy reliance on light makes this item fairly even on in my books. The Flask of Liquid Fire is a LOT cheaper though, so if you are looking for 2P fighting you can't really go wrong with one of those in your set. The clear upgrade here is the Sword of Reif. Other Points Final Thoughts This item is fairly great, but if it goes any higher writing the "alternatives" section will become a lot harder. Rated on July 27, 2017 |
