Price/Power (2/5)
Has an added couple of icons over most dual duties of this level which is pretty good. While part of the attack is physical which I always rather dislike the power is more then expected. Being a plot prize eventually the price may raise and it works as a good collectors item.

Countermeasures (3/5)
By blocking physical this item jumps up a fair hunk in the usefulness scale.
Few items purely block this collection of icons but the Studded Leather Cuirass comes pretty close. A reasonable item that is for sure.

Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades
This is similar to the Blunted Qasalan Gladius Sword but in some ways more useful as it offers physical defense rather then earth... You could upgrade this with a more powerful weapon in your set, however if you like dual duties this one works. The Frozen Water Daggers is another possible upgrade as it offers an extra icon...

Other Points (1 Bonus)
Retired plot prize, always love those.

Final Thoughts
The Poisonous Flower was most likely the better "prize" due to the poison, but this was certainly the better "weapon".

Overview: The Makeshift Ships Hammer is an extremely handy dual duty for the budget-conscious battler.

The Good: The 3 icons of physical defense is very useful in both 1p and 2p, as small amounts of physical are common pretty much everywhere. Sword of Apocalypse loses most of the time to this, and Ylanas Blaster is reduced to a 1.67 icon lead. Both of these cost many times that of the hammer, so the fact that this weapon fights well outside of its price range is impressive.

The Bad: In the sub 100k price range, it loses to both Scroll of Knowledge and Scroll of Ultranova, which are common in the Battledome.

The Ugly Truth: Though I'm not sure it has a place as a main constant, it definitely works well as a backup. If you see your opponent whip out something with physical, you can swap to this and have some easy defense.
