Notes | 1-player Chias (such as the Highland Chia, Chia Clown and Chiazilla) do not count as Chias, you will only get the high icons if you're battling a Chia in 2-player. |
Ratings - Lupe Chia Bomb
Rating: | Price/Power (1/5) This is a lot of fire- I mean it is a rather impressive amount of fire for a bulk multiuse weapon to do. However- when you look at the fact it only works on 2-player chias the limitations are immediately obvious. Then to really rub salt in the wound this weapon is R99, meaning even if for some reason you do find a reason to do this it would cost an insane amount of money to do so. Countermeasures (1/5) Fire is hard to deal with- especially in bulk. Sure you can shell out for a reflector like a Clawed Shield or a full blocker like a Frozen Cyodrake Shield- but as of right now there is no easily accessible full fire blocker out there making this attack hard to deal with. That is what I would be saying- if it wasn't for the other little tidbit of this weapon... the fact your opponent needs to be a chia for it to work. Chia's have only one good reason to use them- the Icy Chia Goggles- unless your opponent is using one of those there is no battle reason to pick a chia over any other. Add in the fact they are (subjectively) ugly and you have a pet type you are rather unlikely to meet in serious combat. This pulls the most likely icon attack value from 17 all the way down to 4. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades It may be weaker- but if you want a cheaper fire based attack for 2p just go for a Flask of Liquid Fire. If you have a bit more dosh to spend then look into the {{Sword of Rief}}. Either way this weapon is not really worth looking at in the slightest. Other Points I suppose I was wrong at least- There would be ONE use for Chia Flour beyond simple trolling. But who would troll s... ▼ Read More ▼ |
Rating: | At a Glance (1/3): Toss this at your opponent and it'll deal 2 icons of fire and 2 of light. If your opponent is a chia, it'll be SUPER EFFECTIVE, increasing its power to 15 fire and 3 light! Interestingly enough, this "bomb" is multiple use. In-Depth (1/4): The vast majority of your battles will be against non-chias, as the only time you will ever see a chia specifically as a BD pet is if they're using Icy Chia Goggles. This means you will likely only count on this weapon for its pitiful, 4 icon attack. BUT. In case you actually do come across a chia, spam this to heck, because fire is an incredibly difficult element to block. The only reliable counter to this are fire reflectors, most notably Clawed Shield. You may encounter Turbo Flame Reflector, the 50% fire reflector, used against this, in which case, you would be 3 icons ahead 1-on-1. Also, Frozen Cyodrake Shield completely shuts this down. Price (0/2): Can't exactly find a definitive price for this at this time, given that there's only one in trades at the moment. Definitely means it's not buyable, unlike Flask of Liquid Fire, which instead deals 10 fire and 4 light to intelligent pets (and there's quite a bit of them!). You'd be better off overall grabbing that instead. Bonus (0/1): According to TNT, there have been 3,388,763 chias created amongst the total neopets population of 280,900,402 (as of today). This means that 1.21% of the neopian population consists of chias. These numbers are based off of the pets *created* and not any that have been labbed, morphed, etc. This means that AT BEST, you have a 1.21% ... ▼ Read More ▼ |
Rating: | Overview: If you plan on fighting a bunch of pea Chias or other random Chias, this weapon has some use. If not, this bomb can be overpowered by 1np weapons. The Good: 18 icons is nothing to scoff at, especially when 15 of them are fire. As far as bombs go, this one has awesome icon distribution. The Bad: Let's go through a few things.
The Ugly Truth: There's nothing like blowing away a Neofriend that's proud of his/her full Chia lineup, especially when you bought a weapon just to decimate them. That being said, your np is better spent on the Ghostkerbomb, as it's not limited to attacking one Neopet species with one other Neopet species. Rated on November 25, 2013 |
