Ratings - Jade Elixir
Rating: | Overview: This is a once per battle single use item that will heal your pet 100% of his/her's max HP. Point deductions: While any full hp healer is an ideal item to have equipped for battle, I'm giving this item a 2 point deduction. 1 point for it being single use, which means the cost will really start to add up the more you use it & battle. And 1 point for the fact that at the time this review is being written, it currently costs 3 times more than what you can buy a Lucky Robots Foot for, which does the exact same thing. Conclusion: Unless you have the nps for one of the non-single use 100% once-per-battle healer's (Jade Scorchstone or Leaded Elemental Vial), than a single use 100% healer or species healer is the way to go. However, save yourself some nps & opt for the cheaper Lucky Robots Foot as you can purchase three of those for the price of one Jade Elixir. Rated on December 6, 2019 |
Rating: | Initial look- Looks like a bottle of expensive perfume as opposed to a weapon. Also not sure how an inanimate object can produce tears. Unless... Counters- Same as the other full healers (IE Jade Scorchstone, Jewelled Scarab, Leaded Elemental Vial, Amulet of Life, etc}. Alternatives- See above lol Bonus- 0/1- Its single use. Full heal or not no single use item will ever get any sort of bonus from me. Overall Rating- 9/10- It gives you what you want, a full heal, and doesn't really hurt your pockets when doing so. I'm not a big fan of single use items but, if you have a higher HP pet and can't afford any of the other once per battle full healers, this is the one I recommend you to buy. Rating: | Price/power (4/5): Unless you do a lot of competitive battling, this item is most certainly worthwhile. A full heal is the best heal you can get, and it doesn't cost a whole lot with this. Tactical (5/5): It's a full heal. Bonus (1/1): Even the Jade Scorchstone can only be used once per battle. Closing remarks: Alternatives include the Lucky Robots Foot and the Amulet of Life. Get whichever one's the cheapest. Rated on June 29, 2015 |
Rating: | Power: 5/5 While this is single use and thus the cost adds up it's still cheap enough to be used when you actually need it. Sure you won't do a few thousand battles using one of those each time, but for a fight or two every once in a while this does perfectly well and you don't have to toss out such a huge amount of NP as you'd have to with Leaded Elemental Vial or Jade Scorchstone. Counters: 3/3 Nothing to be done against a full heal. Uniqueness: 0/1 One of the various single-use healers. Check Lucky Robots Foot for a good alternative. Bonus: 1/1 Thanks to being available at a fixed price in the ninja school you won't see this inflate too much, so it's always a solid option. Rated on September 30, 2013 |
Rating: | Price/Power (4/5) A full 100% healer, considering the price of once per battle 100% healer sometimes this is your only option. Main problem is, the price adds up. Countermeasures (5/5) Can't do much to stop a 100% heal. The worst part is the price and that has already been assessed. Alternatives Upgrades or Downgrades Besides getting the 100% healing species ability you can also get Lucky Robots Foot or Amulet of Life... However don't be fooled by Cooling Ointment which can not be used inside combat. If you do not have more then around 200hp you should most likely just look into more common healers such as the Rejuvenating Jar of Brains instead. If you have a ton more money, just get a Bag of Healing Dust or Leaded Elemental Vial. Other Points (No Bonus) Final Thoughts Looks tasty. Rated on September 29, 2013 |
Rating: | Use sparingly! Jade Elixir is perfect for battlers with high-HP pets that cannot afford Jade Scorchstone or Leaded Elemental Vial. Some situations, like Defenders of Neopia or competitive 2-Player fights, using a non-Full-Healer will not be enough, or it will at least be a hefty disadvantage. In these scenarios, it is worth paying 8,000NP-9,000NP for a Jade Elixir. Despite being the cheapest Full-Healer, Jade Elixirs should be used sparingly, since paying 9k per battle would hurt anyone's wallet. Rated on January 24, 2013 |
